Covid 19 Precautions
Aside from the usual sterilization and infection procedures recommended by the American Dental Association (ADA) and the Mexican Dental Association (ADM) we’re taking the following additional precautions to protect your health as well as ours:
Temperature checks will be done as you enter our courtesy transportation vehicle and our clinic.
The main entryway to our location in the New Orleans building enforces a shoe sterilization protocol, you’ll be asked to step on a mat saturated with disinfection agents.
Our elevator and clinic, including all operatories, offices, restrooms, and waiting areas are fogged and disinfected daily using Hypochlorous Acid (HOCL). HOCL is 80-100 times more powerful than bleach and recommended for the disinfection from many viruses including coronaviruses. Oftentimes we fog and disinfect after every patient. You’ll notice a faint chlorine smell that’s reminiscent of the smell of pool water. This is the same chemical disinfection agent used in hospitals. HOCL is very effective against viruses but perfectly safe for humans.
You’ll be greeted by personnel wearing surgical masks (car and clinic) and gloves (at the clinic). During your dental work employees may use face shields in addition to face masks. NOTE: At this time surgical masks are required in the State of Texas and State of Tamaulipas (Mexico).
Hand sanitizers are available at the reception area for your use.
Humidifiers run throughout the day using HOCL. You’ll notice those humidifiers in the operatories, at the reception area, and in the waiting area. The use of humidifiers with HOCL ensures that the air in our clinic is disinfected continuously.
